RICHEST RACE DAY EVER AT CLIFFORD PARK THIS WEEKEND FOR 2017 AUDI CENTRE TOOWOOMBA WEETWOOD

THIS weekend’s 2017 Audi Centre Toowoomba Weetwood race day will feature the largest prize money purse in Clifford Park history.

On Saturday, the prize money will total $850,000, taking into account QTIS bonuses.

Toowoomba Turf Club Chief Executive Officer Blair Odgers said he was delighted with the strength of acceptances for the annual race meeting.

“It’s also with the support of Racing Queensland, who have had the foresight to expand this weekend’s meeting. It will make Saturday the largest and richest ever conducted at Clifford Park.

“The previous prize money record was $750,000 in 2015 – the growth in two years shows the strength of the Weetwood carnival,” Mr Odgers said.

The good news for the 2017 Audi Centre Toowoomba race day continues, with early bird ticketing sales up 25 percent on 2016.

“Tickets are still available for all function spaces – including the Audi Centre Toowoomba VIP Grande Marquee, the GC Event Hire Fashion Passport and the J.J. Atkins reserved members’ dining,” Mr Odgers said.
